Imagine the excitement when Ballochleam received the phone call from the producers of the Ant and Dec Saturday Take- Away to ask the dancers to join them on the Christmas Special.

Words could not explain the thrill and joy from all the dancers as arrangements were being made for the trip to London.

The excitement grew even further when the other guests of the show were revealed Robbie Williams, Lulu, and Ricky Jarvais.

What an end to the year for Ballochleam Dancers !!!!!

"Yes, Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without Ant and Dec, and to celebrate this season of goodwill and all that, we're bringing you a thoroughly frivolous festive feast of entertainment"

The excitement was rising as the members of the Ballochleam Highland Dancers made their way to Edinburgh Airport to make the trip to London to film the Ant and Dec Christmas special. This year Christmas had started early for Ballochleam Dancers.

Team members Amanda, Samantha, Maria, Kayleigh, Sammy, Arlene, Jayne, Kirsty and Jennifer along side Saor Patrol and Clan Rannald Trust for Scotland were delighted to be taking part in the weekend ahead.

It was very difficult for all members of the team to hide their excitement but due to the requests of the production team we were all sworn to secrecy to ensure that the surprise task for Ant and Decs  was not made public before filming.

On arrival in London we went sent straight to rehearsals in a secret location where the team members worked with the producers of the show to provide a challenge that would thrill the audience not to mention Ant and Dec.

The final rehearsal was in the London studios on the banks of the River Thames . On the day of the filming the team members were taken in secret into the top floors of the studios and were kept hidden from all the members of the cast untill it was time for Ant Verses Dec.

It was strange a strange feeling back stage with reindeers, elves and sleighs and snow ,while on the monitors we could see Ant and Dec. They still did not know what their challenge was to be.

The look on Ant and Dec's face as the team danced  onto the stage will be one that we shall never forget.

It was a fantastic experience and a magical way to start the Christmas holidays for all concerned.

Thanks Ant and Dec and their production team for the chance to meet Robbie Williams, Lulu, Ricky Jarvais and of course Ant and Dec.
